This is the review of the Rx-93-2.

For starters I bought this kit before christmas and it was fun to build. I was in Toronto at the time so all i had were cutters. So i did all the corrections today and decided to review for those to get a better view. Sorry for the crappy lining on the gundam’s head, i corrected that after. This review does suck but it’s my first and i rushed it. Next time I’ll do it with an unbuilt kit and go through it as I build it. Promise =P
Head

The head looks really nice and the V fin is very sharp from the begining. You can see some detail on the blue where it has Rx-93-2 engraved on it to give it some originality. The silver v fin is sparkly and adds on quite well to the white v fin. There is some painting and lining that needs to be done because it comes all blank from the runners. I tried my best and i cotton swabbed it so it looks pretty fresh. Remember to lightly swab the excess ink, you don’t want to scrub off the lining. Panel lining can be a pain in the ass so one must be careful.
Weapons

I only have the beam saber at the moment because I couldn’t find the gun. It’s very simple and it looks like a normal beam saber. The saber effect is blue which is very different than the normal pink or green beam sabers that most gundam model kits have. In terms of using it on the kit, it’s not a big hastle. The square hole in the middle of the hilt it big enough to nicely put it in the pegs in the hands and is very tight so that’s a +
Shoulders

The shoulders are very nice and do come with two small pieces that attach to the side to add more detail. The attachment to the chest is seperate thus allowing better articulation and posibility. Over here very little panel lining needs to be done.
Inner Frame

I only got the legs done because i was building the top at the time but the frame is nice. Unlike the newer model kits, the inner frame is old but the difference between this kit’s inner frame and all the others is that it has this gun metal color and not some boring grey which is very good. Articulation is very good. Arms can bend all the way, go side to side. The legs are very articulate as well. Also there is a bunch of detail to the frame that moves while you try to pose it.
Waist Unit

The waist is very simple and not so hard to assemble or dismantle. It looks very nice with some panel lining but a tip to starter modelers. You may find a hard time panel lining the front and back skirts so get a scriber or a modeler’s knife and go through the panel lines so that it looks better once ink is applied.
Chest Unit

Chest unit is very simple and normal. It’s not so bulky compared to the RX-92 Nu gundam. The cockpit is kind of hard to unveil but the job can be done. What I didn’t like and found weird was that the sticker sheet that came with the kit had these foil stickers and the manual instructed i place them in the most awkwardest spot in the chest. I did 3/4 of it and got fet up, I’ll probably fix it later when I have the time.
Funnels

The funnels are cool and come with an effect part to look like it’s shooting killer beams
My only complaint would be to place them real securely on the back so that it’s not too loose and so that it won’t fall off.
Final Thoughts

This is an amazing kit. Everything kicked ass. The proportions were great, articulation was very good and the color scheme was really nice. The only complaints I would have is the size and the silver. Apparently this is a more improved and completed version of the Nu Gundam thus it shouldv’e been much taller and the silver is very dull. This is the only kind for this MG kit and I was hoping that since this would be one of the most awesomest Gundams out there, they would put more effort to the silver and make it look shinier. Overall, this is definately a must for any model kit builder. Expert or not this kit would do justice to anyone’s shelf.
Advice to Modeller
-Makes sure to carry a silver Gundam Marker for the silver parts.
-Do NOT lose any small parts. ALL parts are crucial even the fingers. I lost a thumb so I had a spare one and used it Thank God.
-This kit is expensive and is actually a bit of a challange to most model kit builders. I would suggest a beginner to buy this kit after 3 or 4 MGs.
