Heya Guys!

Yep its been a veryvery veeerrryyyy longtime since iv done a blog but here’s one now. Recently I’ve been working my butt off to save money for my university expenses and what not cuz guess what I’m a Ryerson student now (judging from the picture above). I’ll be embracing the new life in Toronto very soon near the end of summer.

The reason why i chose this instead of going to a university like mcgill is because i was too late for admission. Even if i was accepted to mcgill (which was most likely to happen) I was planning to stay in Toronto for the very longtime because it made me feel good. Another university U of T also accepted me but i denied their offer because with Ryerson I’m only seeing whether i can adjust to this new environment. I still want to have a life with my family, friends and girlfriend in the end. So I’ll be expected to do a bit of traveling while I’m in Uni.

The reason why i havent updated my blog was because of the stress of paying for my uni fees. I wanted to feel free of my tasks before relaxing and enjoying myself. After I paid my fees on sunday I couldnt feel any happier. So now i’m heading to a new journey, one with many pictures and videos to come =D. Until then, ciao ;)

Ironman 2…review? i guess =/

Went to Scotia Bank theater in downtown mtl and watched Ironman 2 with my girlfriend and i had a really good time. The movie has some really good funny scenes. One that caught my eye was how Tony Stark used Capt.America’s shield to balance his huge arch reactor thingy? Meh u’ll see. I liked the movie a lot so you guys should watch it. But get some extra energy if ur planning to take a date otherwise ur going to end up tired. I would buy this when it comes out on bluray cuz warmachine and the new ironman suit are BADDASSSSSSSSS nuff said =P. If youve watched the movie, what are your thoughts on it?

Upcoming reviews

Guess who they are and wait for the kit reviews to come ;) enjoy :D

Zaku 2.0 Ver. Char’s colors Review Part 1

Although the title isn’t really true it’s actually Char’s Zaku 2.0. But not that it matters, its just as long as you get what it is. So I built this so that it can go with my RX-78-2. Building this kit was a pain mostly because of the springs and the gimmick that most zakus carry.

Judging from the looks this like a badass grunt suit.

Side view

Gimmicks

Detail of the armor is original and nothing tooo special…but still bad ass ^_^

The Head, very diffferent from any Gundam I’ve had of course. When someone sees something like this in a show its usually piloted by a bad guy.

You also have your axe and gunz ;) but no color :( Im going to have to add some detail

This pose I’ll use to test the articulation for most of my kits

Full bend with the legs which is a big plus for poseability

Full bend at the arms as well another plus

Good pose no? =P

Posing with the weapons. I would say the weapons fit with the pegs but the gun limits poseability because of its design.

The weapon looks good . No beam saber for once and it’s all one piece.

The mono eye is cool of course and the small little bits were a hassle to take out of the branches.

Now posing with the gun. Nothing special with it but it looks really good with this kit.

pew pew pew pew!

Well overall this kit is AWESOME. I never felt like building these kits but when i built it the results were outstanding. Pose-ability is great and flawless. I would give it a 10/10 for real. For a gunpla modeler this is a must buy. You HAVE to have this in your collection. This is still in its initial stage but soon a cleaner version of the kit will come in part 2 ^_^.

Hi-Nu MG Review Part 1

This is the review of the Rx-93-2.

For starters I bought this kit before christmas and it was fun to build. I was in Toronto at the time so all i had were cutters. So i did all the corrections today and decided to review for those to get a better view. Sorry for the crappy lining on the gundam’s head, i corrected that after. This review does suck but it’s my first and i rushed it. Next time I’ll do it with an unbuilt kit and go through it as I build it. Promise =P

Head

The head looks really nice and the V fin is very sharp from the begining. You can see some detail on the blue where it has Rx-93-2 engraved on it to give it some originality. The silver v fin is sparkly and adds on quite well to the white v fin. There is some painting and lining that needs to be done because it comes all blank from the runners. I tried my best and i cotton swabbed it so it looks pretty fresh. Remember to lightly swab the excess ink, you don’t want to scrub off the lining. Panel lining can be a pain in the ass so one must be careful.

Weapons

I only have the beam saber at the moment because I couldn’t find the gun. It’s very simple and it looks like a normal beam saber. The saber effect is blue which is very different than the normal pink or green beam sabers that most gundam model kits have. In terms of using it on the kit, it’s not a big hastle. The square hole in the middle of the hilt it big enough to nicely put it in the pegs in the hands and is very tight so that’s a +

Shoulders

The shoulders are very nice and do come with two small pieces that attach to the side to add more detail. The attachment to the chest is seperate thus allowing better articulation and posibility. Over here very little panel lining needs to be done.

Inner Frame

I only got the legs done because i was building the top at the time but the frame is nice. Unlike the newer model kits, the inner frame is old but the difference between this kit’s inner frame and all the others is that it has this gun metal color and not some boring grey which is very good. Articulation is very good. Arms can bend all the way, go side to side. The legs are very articulate as well. Also there is a bunch of detail to the frame that moves while you try to pose it.

Waist Unit

The waist is very simple and not so hard to assemble or dismantle. It looks very nice with some panel lining but a tip to starter modelers. You may find a hard time panel lining the front and back skirts so get a scriber or a modeler’s knife and go through the panel lines so that it looks better once ink is applied.

Chest Unit

Chest unit is very simple and normal. It’s not so bulky compared to the RX-92 Nu gundam. The cockpit is kind of hard to unveil but the job can be done. What I didn’t like and found weird was that the sticker sheet that came with the kit had these foil stickers and the manual instructed i place them in the most awkwardest spot in the chest. I did 3/4 of it and got fet up, I’ll probably fix it later when I have the time.

Funnels

The funnels are cool and come with an effect part to look like it’s shooting killer beams :P My only complaint would be to place them real securely on the back so that it’s not too loose and so that it won’t fall off.

Final Thoughts

This is an amazing kit. Everything kicked ass. The proportions were great, articulation was very good and the color scheme was really nice. The only complaints I would have is the size and the silver. Apparently this is a more improved and completed version of the Nu Gundam thus it shouldv’e been much taller and the silver is very dull. This is the only kind for this MG kit and I was hoping that since this would be one of the most awesomest Gundams out there, they would put more effort to the silver and make it look shinier. Overall, this is definately a must for any model kit builder. Expert or not this kit would do justice to anyone’s shelf.

Advice to Modeller

-Makes sure to carry a silver Gundam Marker for the silver parts.

-Do NOT lose any small parts. ALL parts are crucial even the fingers. I lost a thumb so I had a spare one and used it Thank God.

-This kit is expensive and is actually a bit of a challange to most model kit builders. I would suggest a beginner to buy this kit after 3 or 4 MGs.
